Billing terms
- All prices are in USD and are exclusive of tax. VAT, sales tax, and equivalent charges are calculated by Paddle at checkout from the location and tax details you provide, and the total is shown before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly plans every month, annual plans every year — at the price of your plan, until you cancel.
- Payment is taken by Paddle as the merchant of record: it issues the invoice and appears on your card or bank statement.
- Cancel at any time from the dashboard under Profile → Subscription, or through the billing portal linked from your receipt. The same portal is where you change the card on file.
- The Free plan needs no payment details and no account, and does not expire.
Payment questions
What happens when I cancel?
Cancelling stops the next renewal charge. It does not end the period you have already paid for: you keep paid access until the “Access until” date shown in the dashboard, and you can undo the cancellation before that date. After it, the account returns to Free — the extension keeps tracking locally and keeps enforcing your limits.
Monthly or annual?
Both give the same features. Annual billing is charged once a year and costs the equivalent of ten months: $50 a year for Pro.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes, and the switch is immediate — there is nothing scheduled for later. Moving to annual is charged right away for the rest of your current period; moving back to monthly applies at once too and leaves the difference as credit on your next invoice rather than money back on your card. The refund policy has the exact wording.
Do you offer refunds?
Fees for a period that has already begun are not refundable as a matter of course, and the free plan is there so you can evaluate WatchCat before paying. Mandatory consumer rights still apply, including the 14-day right of withdrawal in the EEA and the UK, and we put things right when a charge or an entitlement went wrong. Do I need an account?
Not for the Free plan: it runs in the browser and keeps its history there. An account is needed for Pro, because encrypted cloud history and cross-device sync are what it adds. The Privacy Policy describes what is stored where.
Can prices change?
We may change prices or what a plan includes. A price change applies to you from your next renewal, and we will tell you before that renewal so you can cancel first if you prefer. The Terms of Service govern the subscription.
Something about a charge looks wrong.
Email hello@getwatchcat.com with the order or receipt reference from your confirmation email and the account email address. Almost every billing question is faster to resolve that way than through a bank dispute.
